Wayang is a traditional form of puppet theatre well known in Java, Indonesia. The original puppet material is leather, and it’s played with dramatic mythology stories. As time pass by, kids, teenagers or even adults become disinterested in it. The goal is to educate the culture and the story. One of the approaches is to modernize the appearance by changing to a geometric and vibrant pattern. We turned the wayang puppet material to paper to be more accessible, engaging people to create and assemble their own wayang character.
